– Evitare il saltellamento della ruota posteriore
– Rendere possibile la scalata senza utilizzo della frizione
– Permettere lo slittamento controllato della ruota posteriore
– Gestire la fase di chiusura della frizione in curva (per evitare disarcionamento)
– Permettere una miglior gestione nel rilascio della leva (partenza) grazie alla molla a diaframma.
