As this spacer is made from solid billet aluminum there is no need to re-tighten the engine bolt long term where you need to do it with the plastic slider as the plastic would gradually give way and then the bolt would come loose. The material of the disc is made of UHMW-PE (strong plastic with good strength, wear resistance and stability) It is an ideal material for sliders since it can absorb more impact force on itself and thus reduce the impact on the frame and on the engine.
